Our dress shirts are in 29, 30 and 31-inch sleeve lengths. In addition, we think that many manufacturers have short specs that aren't short enough for the best fit, so we specify our own.
Short mens sizes in sweaters and sportswear which are particularly difficult to get in the correct fit, are also featured. It is just not a good alternative for shorter men to buy in the boys’ department or clothing that has to be downsized - the basic proportions will be distorted. What they need is properly proportioned clothing for short men. Even custom-made short mens clothing is often a costly and disappointing option."

Stern’s research, about 20 percent of the male population is under 5-feet-8-inches tall.

Stern said that he got into the catalog business because he had received hundreds of catalog requests and “It was time to get in touch with the shorter men in America who did not have access to his store though his "Shop in a Catalog". He was an early adopter of the Internet and started his web site for short mens clothing over ten years ago because marketing in the 21st century has become multi-dimensional.
